Pricing:
All prices subject to change. All prices are in US dollars.

Payment and Reservations:
Walk-ins are always welcome, but to guarantee your scheduled lesson or tandem discovery flight, reservations are required. We require full payment to guarantee your reservation. Paid reservations are the only way to confirm your scheduled lesson(s) or Learn-To-Fly Packages and the best way to minimize your wait time for Discovery Tandem Flights. If winds are not flyable, “wind checks” are given for untaken tandem flights or lesssons - you can reschedule and use them anytime (up to two years from date of purchase). Preferred methods of payment are Mastercard, VISA.

Cancellations and Refunds:
Learn-To-Fly Packages - (A) Cancellation of any package for any reason (medical problem, scheduling conflict, change of mind, etc.) will be subject to a 15% processing fee. (B) Packages cancelled eight (8) to twenty (20) days prior to the first scheduled day of the package in question will be charged 50% of the face value of the package. (C) Packages rescheduled one (1) day to twenty (20) days prior to the first day of the package in question will be assessed a 10% charge against the face value of the package. (D) There is no refund or credit given for packages cancelled within seven (7) days of the first day of the package in question or wherein the participant is deemed to be a “No Show”. (E) Lesson packages are valid for two years from date of purchase.

Tandem Discovery Flights - (A) If Lookout Mountain Flight Park can not provide Discovery Tandem Flights on your scheduled date, we will be happy to reschedule your flight for a later date. (B) There is no charge for rescheduling your tandem flight. (C) Flights cancelled up to 48 hours before their scheduled time will be assessed a 15% charge against the value of the flight. (D) There will be no refunds given for flights cancelled within 48 hours of scheduled flight time. (E) Discovery Tandem Flights are valid for two years from date of purchase.

Gift Certificates:
There are two types of Gift Certificates, one for Discovery Tandem Flights and Learn To Fly Packages and one for a specific dollar amount. In either case, Gift Certificates are non-refundable, non-transferable and expire two years from date of purchase. A Gift Certificate for a dollar amount may be used for any Lookout Mountain Flight Park package, product or service as a credit against the retail price on the date of redemption.

Groups

If you are a group or organization who is looking for an excellent outing, hang gliding is for you!  We’ve had many groups come to fly with us and they love it.  In fact, they love it so much most groups come back year after year.  The following are LMFP’s policies for scheduling Groups, Clubs, and Organizations.  (a)Please call 1-800-688-5637 for information on group rates.  (b) We do not book large groups at a discount on holiday weekends from April through end of October. (c) Large groups can not get refunds if they cancel within 48 hours of their flight time unless they show up and we are in fact blown out or rained out. Forecasts are not always accurate. (d) Final group numbers must be given and paid for three weeks in advance because we can not block out large time slots with out verification. If, after the finalization date, the group wants to add more people and we can accommodate them, we are happy to do so.

You Should Know:
When to be here for your first lesson - Be at our Pro Shop on top of the mountain at 8 a.m. (Eastern time). Check our directions page or call us for detailed directions. Students taking a Novice package should view our New Student Info page.
What to bring - Blue jeans or other long pants to wear during your lesson, sneakers, running shoes, or hiking boots and clothing appropriate for the season. Bring a change of clothes & shoes for after the class.  Also bring plenty of water and a smile.
How to get ready - The two best ways to get a head start are to start stretching and studying Hang Gliding For Beginner Pilots before you get here.  Walking, jogging or climbing stairs for a couple of weeks before you come can help make your training lessons easier.
Weather - Nature does not mind a little light rain, and neither do we. As long as there is no lightning or very strong winds, lessons and Discovery Tandem Flights will go as scheduled.
Age Requirement - There is no minimum age requirement for Discovery Tandem Flights, however, we require persons under 18 years of age to have a parent’s or legal guardian’s signature on the Waiver and Release from Liability forms.
Weight Guidelines for Hang Gliding - Our suggested minimum weight for the training hill program is 85 pounds. We do not have a minimum weight guideline for Discovery tandem flights. Our maximum weight for tandem flights is 250 pounds and we do require calm, stable, conditions for these flights. These flights are at the discretion of the instructor. Weights up to 225 pounds do not require special scheduling.
USHPA Membership and Ratings - Please note that membership dues for the United States Hang Gliding Paragliding Association and the rating fees for the Beginner and Novice Pilot Proficiency ratings are only included with our VIP and Novice Aerotow packages.
