We are now on our summer hours. This means that the pro shop is open from 9am-6pm eastern standard time Thursday through Tuesday. Our first Tuesday open will be tomorrow 5/18. Our tow program is also open on Tuesdays, so we can take reservations for tandem flights for Thursday through Tuesday.

I love this time of year! The sky is so clear you can see miles and everything just feels so crisp. And, the trees are just starting to change so the spectacular colors of autumn are soon to head our way.

For students enrolled in one of our training programs, we do schedule Small Hill and Big Hill classes seven days a week.

We also have two versions of the Go Pro video camera. First is the Go Pro Hero Wide: it weights only 4.9 ounces, shoots 56 minutes of video (512×384) or 1946 photos (5 megapixel), has 170 degrees of view, and comes with various mounts making it an easy addition to your helmet, down tube or keel. All of this for $189.
Option 2 is the Go Pro Hero Wrist with the same specifications as the Wide angle camera except it only has 54 degrees of view and only comes with a wrist strap. The Go Pro Hero Wrist is only $139. Batteries and memory cards are sold seperately at the pro shop.
For those of you who multi-task in your sports habits, both of the cameras are waterproof to 100 feet. Check out an example…
We are now offering in-flight videos of your tandem! Your entire flight is recorded using a video camera mounted on the wing, edited, and set to music. The end result is a beautiful record of your flight. The edited videos are approximately 3-5 minutes. For more information or to reserve your flight and video, please call 1-800-688-5637.
Tomorrow is our first free clinic of the summer. Meet at the pro shop at 1pm for a Beginner Soaring/AWCL clinic taught by Dan. This one-hour clinic is free for students and flight park members.
It seems that the timing of the clinic is spot on…tomorrow afternoon’s forecast shows northwest winds at 9!!! (Oh, later today looks to be soarable as well.)

We are a club with you as paying members and the pool needs to be maintained in a way that can be enjoyed by you. Pilot’s family members who want to use the pool without the flight park member present, need to be flight park members to use the pool. Family Flight Park Memberships for pilots and their immediate family are available for purchase at the pro shop. The price structure is as follows:

One of the Landing Zone cabins is available. The cabin is located in the area affectionately known as South Park. Loft style with full kitchen, one bathroom, and a deck, the cabin is rented on a yearly basis for $425 a month.
