We’ve got a nice weather outlook for the next couple of days. Friday N to NW 4-8 mph. Saturday looks W to NW, to light and variable.

Hi Everyone,

We are having a Women’s Clothing Swap this Friday, August 30 beginning at 6:30pm at the LZ Pavillion. In the past, this has been a fun event where everyone brings their gently used clothes and passes them on. All of the clothes that are left over will be donated to the local Womens Shelter.

Wine & music will be provided and, if you’d like, feel free to bring a finger food. Clothing swaps have always been a fun event that also supports other local women. So, go through your closests and join us on Friday!

All of the Webster Family recently completed their training with us. That means mom Bobbie, dad Robert, and their kids Carl and Morgan all had their first solo flights. We enjoyed having them and they had a blast! Here’s what they had to say:

All-

I just wanted to send a quick note thanking EVERYONE on the staff for two GREAT weeks of flying. If it weren’t for the efforts and dedication of the entire staff, which included many above and beyond efforts, none of us would have had the opportunity to solo! We truly appreciate your dedication, professionalism, and desire to pass on your love of hang gliding! We cannot wait to get back!

Upcoming Weekend Events:

Saturday night (7/24): Dinner will be served at 7pm at the LZ Clubhouse.
Baked ziti, meatballs, salad and breadsticks.

The Sunday (7/25) free clinic is the Parachute Clinic. This clinic
teaches about your safety system and how to use it (not a repack clinic). Space
limited to 10 participants, so please call the shop at 706*398*3541 to reserve
your space. Bring your harness and helmet. 1pm at the sew shop.

Nashville’s Team Green will be joining us to fly this weekend. You
should too!

One more reminder for all of you. Dinner will be served at the LZ clubhouse at 7pm tonight. Shawn, Mark Yahn, and Kelli are cooking up chicken, new potatoes, corn on the cob, salad and dessert. And we’re having a keg! Hope to see you here…

Clinic tomorrow…”Beginning XC Skills: How to Run Away From Home” taught by Claire Vassort at the LZ Clubhouse at 1pm. Remember, Claire is one of the ones you usually have to look up to…literally!
