This was our lovely view this morning. It has turned out to be a beautiful day! This weekend’s forecast looks great. Today they are calling for northwest winds at 9-14. Sunday’s forecast is northwest as well, but a bit lighter (NW at 6).

Since it is Cinco de Mayo, Doris decided to have some food at the clubhouse this evening. Nothing fancy, but there will be some chicken fajitas happening in the LZ at 7pm. BYOB. We would like to have you join us.

Hey all you great people-

For those of you who haven’t heard, Good Morning America’s Saturday Chief Meteorologist, Ginger Zee, was at Lookout Mountain Flight Park, Monday, doing a piece on hang gliding that will air on Good Morning America Saturday, May 12th (ABC 8 AM to 9 AM). Dave Miller had a genius idea of us getting together at the clubhouse to view it with one another and then Doris had another genius idea of having breakfast – so that’s exactly what we’re gonna do! Doris is providing coffee, doughnuts and bagels (for free) so get up and spend your morning with us!

Also, a reminder that we will be having a FREE XC Clinic with special emphasis on flying to the point. It will be taught by Eric Donaldson and take place at the clubhouse at 1PM on Sunday, May 6th.

And lastly, we are now officially opened on Tuesdays. This Tuesday, May 8th we will kick off the first one of the season. This means you can now see us wonderful people one more day a week! What else can you ask for?

Hey there everyone!

Just letting you know that we will be having pizza and beer at the clubhouse this Saturday, April 28th at 7pm Eastern time. We are hoping that the Race and Rally folks make it here to celebrate with us, but if not, we will still enjoy each others company while doing what we do best! Socializing that is. There will be a $5 charge for the eaters and drinkers and free of charge for everyone else. Sounds like a pretty fine deal to me. Hope to see you there!
