Lookout Mountain Flight Park offers its club members and students lodging options for every budget.
We want our students and flight park members to have a comfortable place to relax and refresh for the next day of flying. Everyone has their own idea of the best way to do that. Our accommodations range from the primitive surroundings of our campground to the luxurious Eagle’s Nest and everything in between. All of our cabins have heat, air conditioning, fresh linens and, satellite TV.
Feel free to join us at the volleyball court all year long and relax at the swimming pool during the summer. Stay with us for six nights and the seventh night is on us! Check-in is 4:00 pm and check-out is 12:00pm. There is a two night minimum and a three night minimum on holiday weekends. Coin operated washers and dryers are located in the bathhouse. The Lofts – Eagle’s nest
Centrally located on the landing field, the Eagle’s Nest is our largest cabin. The spacious upstairs features a king-sized bed, closet, and dresser. The downstairs is a wide-open entertainment area with a queen-sized futon, chairs, full-service kitchen and full bathroom. Take a soak in the bath tub after a day at the training hills or tandem lessons. A large deck overlooks the landing field and the mountain launch. $139.00 per night.
Just below the Eagle’s Nest and a stone’s throw from the swimming pool, awaits the Hummingbird House. This charming little loft has a queen-sized bed upstairs and a double-sized futon, bathroom, living area and kitchenette down stairs. You get the same great view as the Eagle’s Nest just in a smaller package. $99.00 per night
Mountain View Cabins (MV)
Mountain View 1 is set up for two. It is the only newly remodeled MV cabin with a kitchenette. There is a queen-sized bed and a dining area. The deck will give you the best view of all the cabins on the north end of our landing field. $89.00 per night.
Mountain View 4 is also set up for two. It is the same size as MV1 but has no kitchen facilities. Instead there is one queen-sized bed, a table with two chairs, bathroom with hot shower, a mini fridge, microwave and coffee pot.
MV2, 3, 5, and 6
If you only need a place to hang your hat, a warm bed, and hot shower, then these cabins are a great choice. They are the same size as MV1 but, we have packed two queen-sized beds in them and still had room for a mini fridge, microwave and coffee pot. They are all $89.00 per night.
The Pentagon Cabins (P)
Rustic and quaint; the P cabins have one queen-sized bed, kitchenette, and a cute little bathroom. P1 is at the front with a view of the field. P2, 3, and 4 follow behind. $69.00 per night.
Our bunkhouse is the ultimate in student housing. We provide clean linens. The shared bathroom and hot shower are at the end of the hall. There is heat and air conditioning provided. The bunk house is co-ed and each bunk has its own privacy curtain. The deck outside is a great place to watch the action while pilots soar the sky over Lookout Mountain. There are between 9-14 bunks available depending on the season. Please call ahead to make reservations (especially for groups).

Nestled in by the P and MV cabins, the RV Park is a great place to relax after a long day of flying. There are full hook-ups and most of the slots are pull-through. Each one has a cement slab to set up a grill and some lawn chairs. A luscious stand of bamboo and pear trees create a peaceful environment with plenty of shade. Once you start flying with us you might just want to leave your camper here. $25.00 per night, $250.00 per month
First come, first serve. No reservations required. There are fire circles, a grove of trees for shade, and Lookout Creek bordering it on one side. The campground is completely primitive and is located on the opposite side of our landing zone from the club house. $5.00 per night includes the use of our bathhouse, swimming pool, and volleyball court. On demand hot water provides every one with a hot shower any time of the day or night. The check-in envelopes are located in the bathhouse on the wall next to the washing machines. We do ask that you don’t walk across the airfield during flight times.
We are nestled in the Appalachian foothills, hidden, yet a stones throw from world renowned tourist attractions. Some old and steeped in history such as The Chattanooga Choo Choo, Rock City, and Point Park to name a few, and some hi-tech and modern like the I-MAX 3-D Theater and The Tennessee Aquarium. Easily accessible too, are venues for your every outdoor sporting desire: reputable golf courses, equestrian stables, whitewater, rappelling, climbing, caving, mountain biking, and fishing.
If you prefer museums, fine restaurants and shopping, we’re about a half hour from Chattanooga, multiple restaurants from cafes to uptown fine dining, the new Finley Stadium, and many, many other attractions.
