No flood, yes dogWhew, its been a windy one. We’ve had some big rain and high winds these past couple of days, and we’ve been getting calls regarding the state of the lz. There are some soggy areas in the low spots of the LZ, but there is NO FLOODING. The LZ is not flooded and is landable (when the winds calm down…which may be tomorrow). The creek never even got as high as Creek Road. I also have some happy news to report. It’s not hang gliding related, but is community related. One of our students lives down the road. His dog Tucker, a yellow lab, came home the other day after being gone for a month. According to one of Tucker’s family members, “Would have been a month tomorrow. We had basically given up all hope, but tonight, he came home. Skinny, weak, several cuts……..but otherwise alive and well. We are all very excited, needless to say!! Many of you helped look, made calls, etc………..for which we say:THANK YOU!! THANK YOU!! THANK YOU!!” We’re so glad you’re back home, Tucker! This is definitely one of those times when I wish dogs could talk, so Tucker could tell us where he’s been.
