Last Weekend’s First Flights

I made a pledge to put more photos on the blog and you may have noticed that I have not. I’ve had a bit of technical difficulty, well, maybe user error is a more accurate description. I’d like to share one of the most recent blog entries that had me troubled… A big congratulations to Carl, Matt, Jason, and Cooper for making their first mountain flights. Great flights everyone! Also, Cooper had just turned 13 on September 10th, so he is one of our youngest new pilots. Happy Birthday Cooper and Congratulations to all!

Upcoming Weekend…Northwest forecast, dinner, and a keg

We’ve had some calls about how we’ve faired after all the rain earlier this week. The LZ was flooded, but the water has gone down significantly. All is well! We think we will be able to start towing later today, and people were launching off of the mountain yesterday. And, with the forecast of northwest winds for the next several days, we will be seeing more pilots. It is so beautiful right now. Post frontal and the skies are so clear, you can see for miles and miles. We will be having dinner in the LZ on Saturday. Hamburgers, hot dogs, the fixins and a keg will be served Saturday night at 7pm. $7 per person. Flight Park members, students, and their friends/family are welcome to attend. Sunday’s clinic topic is to be determined. We’ll keep you posted!
