Wingman Weekend was a HUGE Success!

The second annual Wingman Weekend was an overwhelming success! CJ Giordano (pictured above with glider) took home 1st place, Tyler Lewis 2nd, and Ethan Thomasson 3rd.  All the competitors did an incredible job, some had their first thermal …flights, and best of all—no one got hurt or even bent a downtube! A HUGE THANK YOU goes out to all of the Wingmen who shared their wisdom and knowledge, and to the volunteer drivers, judges, photographers, planners, cooks, and sponsors that helped make this year’s Wingman Weekend the best yet!cj winner bain

We’re off to a great start to Wingman Weekend. Cheryl and Mike started flying with us last weekend and had their first mountain flights this morning! I also included some folks from earlier in the month. Father and son, Dan and Luke, made hang gliding a family outing…they had their first flights earlier in September. Then there’s Mike. Mike’s dad Brian and his sister Megan learned to fly with us as well. Then it was Mike’s turn to fly from the mountain.

And for all of you waiting to touch the sky, there is still some availability this weekend to fly tandem with an instructor.  Give us a call to set up your reservations.  706-398-3541.

As one of our pilots put it, “It is a team effort to see who can have the most fun.” To make sure that we have enough fun to go around, we need the last few unpaid contestants to secure their spot so we can get a good head count.
